Brest
The first project for a modern tramway system in the Breton city of Brest was rejected in a referendum in 1990. A second project was launched in 2004. The start of construction is expected for late 2009 and the inauguration for 2012. There is a convention with the city of Dijon for a joint order of the rolling stock – Dijon plans to build a new tramway system for completion in 2013.
